Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree; OR 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 6 years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, or business analysis related to supported operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and product management tools.
- Extensive knowledge of various software delivery methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
- Proven ability to analyze business requirements and streamline processes within regulatory frameworks.
- Strong grasp of Process Engineering methodologies.
- Excellent skills in gathering business requirements and developing user stories independently.
- Experience as a business analyst or product owner in refining product backlogs for agile teams.
- 8 years of experience in P&C Personal Lines, preferably in Auto.
- Proven track record in leading agile product development and modernization efforts in large insurance settings.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts to grasp business strategies and write, refine, and prioritize user stories and features.
- Manage and sustain a prioritized backlog for one or more Agile teams, ensuring user stories are clear and testable.
- Review and accept deliverables from IT or business development teams to confirm completion of acceptance criteria.
- Represent the business throughout the product delivery cycle with various agile teams.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to align development and release plans with program objectives.
- Work alongside sponsors and IT to define business processes while understanding needs and risks for enhancements.
- Prepare the business for changes and devise strategies for adoption and benefits tracking.
- Oversee development, testing, and control processes across varied technologies.
- Mentor and coach fellow Product Owners in best practices.
- Ensure that risks from business activities are effectively managed in compliance with policies and procedures.
