Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data Analysis, Data Science, or a related discipline; OR 4 years of relevant experience in statistics or quantitative analytics may replace the degree requirement.
- 6 years of data and analytics experience, or alternatively, 4 years of data and analytics experience combined with up to 2 years of progressive business experience in the relevant industry (e.g., P&C, Banking, Finance, Marketing) for a total of 6 years.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative analytics field with a minimum of 4 years of data/analytics or functional business experience in the relevant industry is acceptable.
- Proven expertise in mathematical and statistical methods utilized for data-driven decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, data visualization techniques, SQL, SAS, BI tools, and familiarity with relevant industry data methods.
- Experience with new and emerging datasets and converting them into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced business and analytical skills to engage with cross-functional teams and align on complex business objectives and solution strategies.
- Apply innovative analytical methods to address medium to large-scale business problems with significant implications for current and future strategies.
- Develop insightful recommendations and effectively communicate findings to various levels of management.
- Employ visualization techniques to clarify data points and support understanding among non-technical audiences.
- Identify and compile quality data sources necessary for effective problem-solving through testing or exploratory data analysis.
- Integrate and refine diverse data sources while maintaining high data hygiene standards.
- Document assumptions, methodologies, validations, and testing processes for peer reviews and compliance purposes.
- Stay apprised of emerging technologies impacting scientific methodologies and quantitative analytical approaches.
- Present findings succinctly to foster understanding, generate support for recommendations, and drive business decisions.
- Provide subject matter expertise in implementing recommendations while ensuring compliance with risk policies.
