Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative analytics discipline like Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data Science, or Business Analysis; OR 4 years of related experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 6 years of data and analytics experience OR 4 years of data and analytics experience combined with up to 2 years of progressive, relevant functional business experience in your specific industry (e.g., P&C, Banking, Finance, Marketing, etc.).
- Demonstrated advanced skills in mathematical and statistical methodologies to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, data visualization, and the development of analytical queries in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software, along with industry-specific data and techniques.
- Experience in using new and emerging data sets for valuable insights through data wrangling and transformation techniques.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced business, analytical, and technical expertise to engage with cross-functional teams on complex business objectives and influence strategic solutions.
- Implement advanced analytical methods to resolve medium to large-scale business issues with substantial influence on present and future strategies.
- Employ innovative and scientific analytical techniques to derive conclusions and provide actionable recommendations that address specific business goals.
- Create communication materials to present findings effectively across various management levels.
- Utilize visualization strategies to clarify analysis points for non-technical audiences.
- Identify and collect relevant, high-quality data sources necessary for comprehensive problem-solving through testing or exploratory data analysis (EDA).
- Integrate and transform diverse data sources while ensuring appropriate data hygiene practices.
- Document assumptions, methodologies, validations, and testing processes for peer reviews and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to scientific methodologies and quantitative problem-solving approaches.
- Articulate analysis and findings clearly to influence management decisions and strategic direction.
- Provide subject matter expertise to operationalize recommendations effectively.
- Remain informed about data and analytics trends, including but not limited to Cloud, Data Mining, Python, Neural Networks, Sensor data, IoT, and Streaming data.
- Seek opportunities for continued learning in the data and analytics domain through platforms like Coursera, Udemy, and others or through formal certifications and advanced studies.
- Ensure the risks associated with business activities are identified, assessed, monitored, and controlled per risk and compliance policies.
