Requirements

Must:
- A Bachelor’s degree, or alternatively, 4 years of relevant experience may replace the degree requirement. - A minimum of 6 years of experience in Security Engineering and/or Information Technology, focusing on security, including leading enterprise technology projects. - At least 4 years of experience delivering technology solutions throughout all phases of the solution development lifecycle. - Proven experience guiding security strategies and initiatives, with a successful track record in driving these to completion. - Proficiency with modern programming and scripting languages, along with experience in implementing security engineering activities using modern DevSecOps practices. - Demonstrated success in agile delivery methods and a strong desire to be flexible while delivering value consistently. - Capability to resolve complex production issues through effective troubleshooting of applications and systems. - Familiarity with platform engineering concepts focusing on security best practices, such as infrastructure/policy as code and CI/CD pipelines. - Knowledge of event-driven security architecture and methods to meet security compliance and audit requirements. - Experience with cloud technologies and emerging technologies such as Public Cloud, Containerization, and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities

- Ensure that security requirements are effectively integrated into all aspects of solution or application development and maintenance. - Design, develop, code, integrate, and test advanced technical solutions with a strong security focus, often collaborating with other engineers and architects. - Lead the team in conducting code/design reviews to enhance engineering efficiencies and effective operations. - Assist in resolving complex production issues and troubleshoot end-to-end solutions across multiple applications and systems. - Collaborate with architecture teams to define directions for key technologies in specific security domains. - Contribute to community impact through participation in training events, conferences, and professional organizations. - Apply Site Reliability Engineering practices and manage risks in accordance with compliance policies. - Monitor and troubleshoot complex systems and vendor integrations, and support ongoing research to identify and resolve intricate security issues. - Work closely with Security Analysts and collaborators to enhance and fortify security solutions against emerging threats. - Provide mentorship to junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the team stays informed about the latest security trends and technologies.

This position is crucial to the success of our Cyber Threat Operation Center (CTOC) mission, focusing on enhancing threat management capabilities and improving our cybersecurity posture over time. We offer a flexible work environment, requiring you to be in the office 4 days a week. This role is available in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or Charlotte, NC. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position. Our compensation range for this role is between $127,310 and $243,340, with the actual salary based on your experience and market data.
