Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science, or other quantitative discipline; OR
- 4 years of relevant experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics may substitute for degree requirements.
- At least 4 years of experience in data/analytics or relevant business experience in sectors like P&C, Banking, or Finance.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field with at least 2 years of corresponding experience can also be considered.
- Proven ability in applying mathematical and statistical methodologies for decision-making.
- Proficient in data analysis tools, data visualization, and developing analysis queries in SQL, SAS, BI tools or similar software.
- Strong understanding of industry data and methods, as well as the ability to relate external insights to business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Utilize intermediate and advanced analytical skills to engage with cross-functional teams and align on business goals and strategies.
- Employ sophisticated analytical techniques to address medium to large-scale business challenges that impact strategies.
- Implement innovative quantitative methods to provide actionable insights that meet business aims.
- Create communication materials to present recommendations clearly to peers and upper management.
- Use visualization techniques to enhance understanding of analyses for non-technical audiences.
- Identify and compile quality data sources necessary to tackle business issues effectively through testing and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
- Integrate and refine diverse data sources while applying suitable data hygiene practices.
- Document assumptions, methodologies, validations, and testing processes for peer reviews and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to analytical methodologies and problem-solving approaches.
- Present findings compellingly to influence decision-makers and support strategic business initiatives while managing associated risks.
