Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Science discipline; OR 4 years of relevant data and analytics or technical experience could be substituted instead of a degree. - 2 years of experience in an information management practice, business application function, or data delivery; OR an advanced degree in a Business or Science discipline. - Fundamental understanding of data management practices and awareness of data governance theories and tools. - Basic knowledge of SQL and SQL-based languages. - Ability to cultivate business knowledge through valuable partnerships at both contributor and leadership levels. - Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

- Assist in maintaining Information Asset Inventories to ensure accurate cataloging of data and assets. - Support the delivery of information according to Information Governance standards and data management practices through thorough documentation, teamwork, and execution of established processes. - Maintain a metadata repository and ensure proper metadata associations. - Aid team members in reviewing, validating, and documenting metadata and data quality information. - Develop and record definitions and data quality rules that underlie essential business processes. - Document the data quality plan and implement validated data quality checks. - Monitor data quality findings, reports, and dashboards, and raise concerns as needed. - Assist in drafting and updating data quality corrective action plans. - Support the creation and upkeep of master or reference data. - Collaborate with IT on archiving and purging data to comply with legal standards. - Begin to define and enhance processes to mitigate data quality risks. - Ensure business activity-related risks are adequately identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies.
