Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (4 additional years can substitute for a degree)
- Certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT is acceptable
- Minimum of 4 years of software development experience with strong technical knowledge in specific technologies
- At least 2 years of experience in delivering technology solutions across all phases of software development lifecycle, including conducting code/design reviews
- Fundamental understanding of languages such as Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python
- Developing business insight related to operations, risk management, and industry trends
- Experience in addressing production issues through application and systems troubleshooting
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and propose solutions
- Basic familiarity with cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, create, code, and evaluate intricate technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve complex application and technical system issues or incidents
- Continuously improve processes by performing comprehensive systems analysis and suggesting policy or procedure modifications
- Prepare and implement complex solutions by defining system specifications, standards, and programming guidelines
- Adhere to the software development lifecycle in project execution
- Participate in design evaluations and grasp essential system design concepts
- Mentor junior engineers and potentially assist peer engineers; review colleagues code
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are properly identified, assessed, monitored, and managed in compliance with established policies and procedures
