Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree or approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT or eFIT
- 4 years of software development experience showcasing in-depth technical expertise in specific disciplines or technologies
- 2 years of experience delivering technology solutions through all phases of the software development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews
- Basic understanding of one or more programming languages such as Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python
- Developing level of business insight in business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends
- Experience in resolving production issues by fixing applications and systems
- Experience clearly articulating technical challenges and solutions
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test sophisticated technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve intricate application and system technical issues and production concerns
- Continuously enhance operations through complex systems analysis and recommend policy and procedure modifications
- Prepare and implement complex solutions by defining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
- Adhere to the software development lifecycle
- Participate in design reviews and grasp key system design principles
- Mentor junior engineers and potentially assist in mentoring peer engineers; review team members code
- Ensure that risks associated with business activities are identified, assessed, monitored, and managed according to risk and compliance policies and procedures
