Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT
- 4 years of software development experience with a deep technical understanding in specific disciplines/technologies
- 2 years of experience delivering technology solutions in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Basic comprehension of one or more of the following languages: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, Python
- Developing level of discernment in business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends
- Experience in troubleshooting production issues related to applications and systems
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test intricate technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve complex application and system issues through effective troubleshooting techniques
- Continuously improve operations by conducting detailed systems analysis and recommending adjustments in procedures
- Prepare and install sophisticated solutions by determining system specifications, standards, and programming
- Follow the software development lifecycle diligently
- Participate in design reviews and familiarize with key system design principles
- Mentor junior engineers and may start mentoring peers; review team members code
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks linked to business activities in accordance with risk and compliance policies
