Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree OR Approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT or eFIT.
- 4 years of software development experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding in specific disciplines/technologies.
- 2 years of experience in delivering technology solutions across the software development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews.
- Basic understanding of languages such as Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python.
- Developing level of discernment in business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends.
- Experience addressing production issues through application and system troubleshooting.
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test intricate technical solutions.
- Investigate and resolve complex application and system issues through advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Enhance operations by conducting in-depth systems analysis and recommending changes to policies and procedures.
- Prepare and install sophisticated solutions by determining system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Follow the software development lifecycle rigorously.
- Participate in design reviews and absorb key system design principles.
- Mentor junior engineers and potentially peer engineers; review teammates’ code.
- Ensure business-related risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with compliance policies and procedures.
