Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative analytics discipline such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data Analysis, Data Science, or similar, or 4 years of relevant experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics can substitute for a degree.
- 4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience within the relevant industry (e.g., Property & Casualty, Banking, Finance), or an advanced degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in mathematical and statistical methods that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in data analysis tools, data visualization, and analytics software (e.g., SQL, SAS, BI tools).
Responsibilities
- Utilize business, analytical, and technical expertise to collaborate with cross-functional teams on business objectives and influence strategic solutions.
- Employ advanced analytical techniques to tackle medium to large business challenges that impact current and future strategies.
- Apply innovative quantitative methods to derive insights that guide decision-making and drive necessary changes.
- Prepare communication materials that effectively present insights to peers and management for reviews.
- Use visualization strategies to clarify analysis findings for diverse audiences.
- Identify and source quality data necessary to address business problems through exploratory data analysis.
- Integrate and cleanse various data sources, applying suitable data hygiene practices.
- Document assumptions and methodologies comprehensively to support peer reviews and compliance requirements.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies that could enhance analytical methodologies and problem-solving capabilities.
- Present findings in a clear manner that influences management decisions and strategy formulation.
- Ensure that business risks are recognized, measured, monitored, and managed in line with compliance policies.
