Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of experience can substitute for the degree
- Approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT
- 4 years of software development experience with technical depth in specific disciplines or technologies
- 2 years of experience delivering technology solutions throughout the software development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews
- Basic understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, Python
- Developing level of discernment in business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends
- Experience in troubleshooting applications and systems to resolve production issues
- Capability to articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test intricate technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve complex application and system issues using troubleshooting techniques
- Continuously enhance operations through complex systems analysis and policy/review recommendations
- Prepare and install complex solutions by defining and designing system specifications and standards
- Adhere to the software development lifecycle
- Participate in design reviews and learn essential system design principles
- Mentor junior engineers and possibly peer engineers; review teammates code as necessary
- Ensure risks tied to business operations are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in compliance with policies and procedures
