Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, or other relevant quantitative fields; or 4 years of experience in statistics, mathematics, quantitative analytics, or related fields can substitute for degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, or an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, PhD) in a quantitative discipline.
- Proficiency in training and validating statistical, physical, machine learning, and advanced analytics models.
- Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for statistical analysis and AI/ML model construction.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed, and logical code.
- Skilled in querying and preprocessing data from structured and unstructured databases using languages such as SQL, HQL, or NoSQL.
- Familiar with handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats including numeric files, JSON/XML files, and text documents.
- Knowledge of ad-hoc analytics using descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics.
- Understanding of classical predictive modeling techniques like linear/logistic regression, support vector machines, and decision trees.
- Familiarity with unsupervised modeling concepts including clustering techniques and algorithms.
- Effective communication skills to convey analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Capture, analyze, and manipulate both structured and unstructured data to develop analytical solutions for the business.
- Choose the most suitable modeling techniques and technologies based on data constraints and business objectives.
- Build and implement models within the Model Development Control (MDC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) frameworks.
- Create technical documentation for knowledge retention, risk management, and peer review purposes.
- Seek guidance from peers for mentorship as necessary.
- Transform business requests into specific analytical queries, carry out the analysis and/or modeling, and communicate findings to non-technical colleagues.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, business units, and other internal teams to implement analytical solutions aligned with customer needs and modeling best practices.
- Pursue opportunities to learn new techniques, technologies, and methodologies.
- Ensure risks linked to business operations are appropriately identified, measured, monitored, and managed, in accordance with risk management policies.
