Requirements

Must:
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, engineering, or a related quantitative field; alternatively, 4 years of relevant experience in statistics, mathematics, quantitative analytics, or similar fields may substitute for a degree. - At least 6 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis. - A minimum of 4 years of experience in training and validating statistical, physical, machine learning, and other advanced analytics models. - Proficiency in one or more dynamic scripting languages (such as Python, R, etc.) for statistical analyses and building/scoring AI/ML models for at least 4 years. - Proven ability to write code that is clear, well-documented, and logically structured, ensuring high code transparency. - Strong experience querying and preprocessing data from structured and unstructured databases using query languages such as SQL, HQL, or NoSQL. - An advanced understanding of classical supervised modeling techniques such as linear/logistic regression, and decision trees, as well as unsupervised techniques like clustering algorithms. - Relevant experience guiding and mentoring junior technical staff on business interactions and model development. - Competence in communicating analytical and modeling outcomes to non-technical business partners, focusing on actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

- As a Senior Data Scientist - Fraud Identity Analytics, I am responsible for creating and implementing quantitative solutions to enhance our capability in detecting and preventing identity theft, account takeovers, and synthetic fraud. - I will develop and continuously refine internal identity theft and authentication models to reduce fraud losses and enhance user experience. - Collaborating closely with the Strategies team and Directors of Fraud Identity Analytics and Model Management, I will prioritize model builds and incorporate technology to implement a Financial Crimes graph database strategy. - My tasks include deploying graph databases and techniques to identify criminal networks involved in fraudulent activities and delivering significant benefits. - I will conduct ad-hoc analyses using both descriptive and inferential statistics while drafting technical documents for knowledge persistence and risk management purposes. - I will manage project risks, ensuring the timely achievement of breakthroughs, and maintain awareness of innovative methods and opportunities for professional development. - Mentoring junior data scientists and actively participating in internal communities to advance data science technologies will also be key aspects of my role.
