Requirements

Must:
- A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, science and engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; OR 4 years of experience in statistics, mathematics, quantitative analytics, or related fields in addition to the minimum years of experience required may be substituted for a degree. - 6 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis. - 4 years of experience in training and validating statistical, physical, machine learning, and other advanced analytical models. - 4 years of experience in dynamic scripted languages (such as Python, R, etc.) for performing statistical analyses and/or developing AI/ML models. - Demonstrated ability to write clear, well-documented code. - Solid experience querying and preprocessing data from structured or unstructured databases using SQL, HQL, NoSQL, etc. - Proven ability to work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats, including delimited numeric data, JSON/XML files, and text documents. - Experience conducting ad-hoc analytics using descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics. - Ability to understand and communicate regulatory implications of various modeling efforts. - Advanced knowledge of supervised modeling techniques like linear/logistic regression, discriminant analysis, and decision trees. - Experience with unsupervised modeling approaches such as k-means clustering and DBSCAN. - Background in mentoring junior team members in technical and business contexts. - Capacity to convey analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders with a focus on actionable insights.

Responsibilities

- I will gather, interpret, and manipulate both structured and unstructured data to support advanced analytical solutions for the business. - I will develop scalable, automated solutions using machine learning, simulation, and optimization to generate business insights. - I will choose the suitable modeling techniques and technologies, considering data constraints, application, and business objectives. - I will design and implement models within the Model Development Control (MDC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) frameworks. - I will prepare and assist in preparing technical documents for knowledge preservation and risk management. - I will evaluate business needs and propose analytical projects to enhance business value. - I will collaborate with business and analytics leaders to prioritize modeling and analytics initiatives. - I will maintain a robust library of reusable algorithms and code to ensure transparency and quality in model development. - I will translate complex business inquiries into specific analytical questions, complete the necessary analyses, and communicate findings to non-technical colleagues with a focus on actionable recommendations. - I will manage project risks, breakthroughs, and obstacles, escalating potential issues that could impact project success. - I will develop best practices for engaging with Data Engineering and IT to deploy analytical assets consistent with modeling standards. - I will ensure that risks associated with business activities are properly identified and controlled in line with compliance policies. - I will stay updated on emerging techniques and methodologies, seeking continuous professional development opportunities. - I will mentor junior data scientists in analytics, modeling, and computer science tasks. - I will actively participate in internal communities that drive the evolution of data science technologies and culture.
