Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree or an approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT
- 2 years of experience in software development related to a specific discipline or technology
- 1 year of experience in delivering technology solutions throughout the software application development lifecycle
- Basic understanding of programming languages including Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python
- Familiarity with troubleshooting applications and systems during production issues
- Ability to quickly comprehend business acumen to provide effective engineering solutions
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Basic knowledge of cloud technologies and tools
- 1 year of experience in building Java Spring Boot microservices is a plus
- 1 year of experience with AWS or other cloud platforms preferred
- 1 year of experience in Agile/SAFE software development lifecycle is advantageous
- Familiarity with Kafka streaming and web front-end development preferred
- Understanding of claims management systems, such as GuideWire Claims Center, is preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test innovative technical solutions
- Regularly write code to implement features and enhancements
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical challenges and production issues
- Continuously analyze systems to recommend operational improvements and policy changes
- Prepare and install solutions by defining system specifications and programming standards
- Adhere to the software development lifecycle
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities according to established risk and compliance policies
