Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree
- Approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT
- 4 years of software development experience with a strong technical foundation in relevant disciplines/technologies
- 2 years of experience in providing technology solutions across all phases of software systems and application development, including leading code/design reviews
- Fundamental understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, Python
- Developing insight into business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving production issues in applications and systems
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and propose solutions
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and test sophisticated technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve intricate application and system issues, including production problems
- Continuously enhance operations by performing detailed systems analysis and suggesting policy and procedure changes
- Prepare and implement advanced solutions by determining system specifications, standards, and programming requirements
- Adhere to the software development lifecycle
- Participate in design reviews and assimilate key system design principles
- Mentor junior engineers and potentially peer engineers; review colleagues code
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks related to business activities in compliance with established risk and compliance policies
