Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree or an approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT or eFIT
- Four years of software development experience demonstrating extensive technical understanding in specific technologies
- Two years of experience delivering technology solutions across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including leading design and code reviews
- Basic understanding of one or more programming languages such as Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, or Python
- Developing understanding of business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends
- Experience in troubleshooting application and production issues
- Ability to clearly articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Basic familiarity with cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and test complex technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate application and system technical issues and production challenges
- Conduct systems analysis to improve operations and recommend changes in processes and policies
- Prepare and implement complex solutions by defining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
- Follow the software development lifecycle through all its stages
- Participate in design reviews, while learning key principles of system design
- Guide junior engineers and begin to mentor peer engineers, reviewing code as necessary
- Identify, measure, monitor, and manage risks associated with business activities according to compliance and risk policies
