Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT
- 4 years of software development experience showcasing technical expertise in specific disciplines or technologies
- 2 years of experience in delivering technology solutions across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews
- Fundamental understanding of one or more programming languages such as Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python
- Developing business acumen in operations, risk management, industry trends, and practices
- Proficient in troubleshooting applications and systems to resolve production issues
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and develop effective solutions
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and code complex technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve intricate application and system issues through advanced troubleshooting techniques
- Analyze systems continuously to enhance operations and suggest policy and procedure improvements
- Prepare and implement complex solutions by specifying, designing, and programming systems
- Follow the software development lifecycle rigorously
- Participate in design reviews to learn and apply key design principles
- Mentor junior engineers and occasionally guide peer engineers; review colleagues’ code
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities according to compliance policies and procedures
