Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, science and engineering, or a similar quantitative field; OR 4 years of related experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics may be considered in place of a degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis OR a graduate degree (e.g., Masters, PhD) in a quantitative domain.
- Demonstrated experience in training and validating statistical, physical, machine learning, and other advanced analytics models.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (such as Python or R) for executing statistical analyses or building AI/ML models.
- Capability to write clear, detailed, and well-commented code for high transparency.
- Experience with SQL or similar query languages for accessing and preprocessing data from structured and/or unstructured databases.
- Familiarity with handling various data formats, including delimited numeric data, JSON/XML files, and text documents or images.
- Knowledge of descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics for ad-hoc analytics.
- Understanding of classical supervised and unsupervised modeling techniques such as regression, clustering, decision trees, and more.
- Strong communication skills for conveying analytical results to non-technical business colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Capture, interpret, and manipulate both structured and unstructured data to develop analytical solutions for business needs.
- Select relevant modeling techniques and technologies while considering data restrictions and business objectives.
- Develop and implement models in compliance with the Model Development Control (MDC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) frameworks.
- Create technical documentation to support knowledge sharing, risk management, and technical reviews.
- Consult with colleagues for mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Translate business requests into specific analytical queries and present the outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, the business sector, and other internal groups to align analytical solutions with customer specifications and modeling best practices.
- Pursue opportunities to broaden knowledge of new techniques, technologies, and methodologies.
- Identify, measure, monitor, and manage risks associated with business activities according to compliance and risk policies.
