Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree OR approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT
- 4 years of software development experience, showcasing in-depth technical expertise in specific technologies
- 2 years of experience in delivering technology solutions across all stages of the software development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews
- Foundational knowledge in one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python
- Developing understanding of business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends
- Experience in troubleshooting production issues by fixing applications and systems
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Basic familiarity with cloud technologies and tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve intricate application and system issues and production challenges
- Continuously enhance operations through thorough systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
- Prepare and implement complex solutions by designing system specifications, standards, and programming
- Adhere to the software development lifecycle
- Participate in design reviews and learn essential system design principles
- Mentor junior engineers and potentially peer engineers; review teammates code
- Ensure risks associated with business operations are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and managed according to risk and compliance policies
