Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree; or 4 years of related experience may be accepted in place of a degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership position
- Experience in technology application development and/or infrastructure and operational execution
- Deep knowledge in at least one technology domain (applications, infrastructure, operations, etc.)
- Proven ability to communicate complex technology choices to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong relationship-building skills with frontline and mid-level management and stakeholders
- Understanding of technical architecture standards, principles, and risk management practices
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-channel digital experiences (web, mobile, IVR) serving millions of members
- Modernize enterprise APIs and services utilizing REST, GraphQL, and cloud-native patterns on AWS/OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Execute real-time and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, AppSync) for personalized member experiences
- Collaborate with product and design teams to enhance accessibility, usability, and performance
- Integrate Adobe Analytics and other tools for data-driven insights and personalization
- Develop API-first strategies and microservices architecture for enterprise systems
- Establish engineering standards, development lifecycles, and testing methodologies for efficiency
- Provide architectural direction for AI/ML-driven personalization and data-informed decision frameworks
- Lead modernization initiatives for legacy platforms adopting cloud-native technologies
- Prototype frameworks leveraging Kubernetes, Snowflake, and vendor solutions for actionable insights
- Guide technology decisions through governance boards and senior-level collaboration
- Mentor engineers, promoting a culture of simplicity, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data science, and operations teams to align technology with business goals
- Represent engineering in strategic discussions, advocating for best practices and modernization strategies
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified and managed according to compliance policies
