Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree; OR 4 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- 10 years in the Information Technology sector, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership capacity
- Experience in technology application development or infrastructure implementation
- Extensive knowledge in at least one technology domain from various perspectives (application, infrastructure, operations, etc.)
- Proven ability to convey complex technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in building high-trust relationships with management and stakeholders
- Familiarity with architectural standards, principles, and compliance regulations
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather strategic requirements and assess associated risks
- Utilize technical expertise to make informed decisions and develop architectural roadmaps
- Foster trustworthy relationships with stakeholders and engineering teams to guide priority and execution of architectural solutions
- Evaluate domain applications to identify strengths, weaknesses, and risks
- Advise business owners on proposed solutions and strategies
- Define architecture standards to ensure compliance for technology solutions
- Employ risk assessment techniques to evaluate architecture standards waivers
- Participate in USAA technology initiatives, including solution design and troubleshooting
- Provide mentorship to new architects and engineers in a supportive environment
- Maintain architecture domain documentation and ensure timely deliverables
- Establish connections within industry organizations and pursue recognized certifications and opportunities for visibility
- Effectively manage risks associated with business processes in accordance with compliance policies
