Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, or related quantitative field; or 4 years of experience in statistics, mathematics, quantitative analytics, or similar experience that can substitute for a degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, or an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, PhD) in a quantitative area
- Proficiency in training and validating both statistical and machine learning models
- Experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R) for statistical analysis and AI/ML model development
- Capability to write clear, detailed, and well-commented code for enhanced transparency
- Skilled in querying and preprocessing data using languages like SQL, HQL, NoSQL, etc.
- Familiarity with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats
- Understanding of ad-hoc analytics and various statistical techniques
- Knowledge of classical supervised and unsupervised modeling concepts
- Effective communication skills for presenting analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Analyze and manipulate both structured and unstructured data for business analytical solutions
- Select appropriate modeling techniques considering data limitations and business requirements
- Develop models adhering to the Model Development Control (MDC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) frameworks
- Create technical documentation for knowledge sharing and risk governance
- Seek mentorship from peers as necessary
- Translate business requests into clear analytical questions, conducting necessary analysis and presenting results
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, and other stakeholders to deliver analytical solutions aligned with business needs
- Pursue opportunities to learn new techniques and technologies in data science
- Identify and manage risks associated with business activities in accordance with compliance policies
