Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, or a related quantitative field; or equivalently, 4 years of experience in statistics or a similar field can substitute for a degree
- At least 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, or an advanced degree (Masters, PhD) in a quantitative subject area
- Proficient in training and validating statistical and machine learning models
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for statistical analyses and AI/ML model development
- Capable of writing clear and well-documented code
- Experience with SQL or similar query languages for accessing and processing data
- Skilled in working with various data formats including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
- Familiar with descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics for ad-hoc analytics
- Knowledgeable in supervised modeling techniques like regression and decision trees
- Experienced with unsupervised modeling methods, such as clustering algorithms
- Strong communication skills to present analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Capture, interpret, and manipulate both structured and unstructured data for business analytics
- Select suitable modeling techniques and technologies while considering data limitations and business requirements
- Develop and implement models adhering to the Model Development Control and Model Risk Management frameworks
- Write technical documentation for knowledge preservation and risk management purposes
- Provide mentorship and consult with peers as necessary
- Translate business requests into analytical questions, completing analyses, and delivering findings to non-technical colleagues
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT to implement analytical solutions that align with customer specifications and modeling standards
- Explore new techniques and methodologies to enhance skill sets
- Identify and manage risks associated with business activities following regulatory policies and procedures

This position requires a presence in the office for four days a week, with locations available in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, and Tampa, FL. While we do offer a remote work option within the continental U.S., occasional travel may be necessary.
