Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, engineering, or a related quantitative field; OR 4 years of relevant experience can substitute for the degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis; OR Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, PhD) in a quantitative discipline
- Proficient in training and validating statistical, machine learning, and other complex analytical models
- Skilled in using at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R) for statistical analysis and AI/ML model development
- Capable of writing clear, well-commented code for enhanced transparency
- Experienced in querying and preprocessing data in structured or unstructured databases using SQL, HQL, NoSQL, etc.
- Familiar with working with diverse data formats including numeric data files, JSON/XML files, and text documents
- Knowledgeable in performing ad-hoc analytics utilizing descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics
- Understanding of supervised modeling techniques (e.g., regression, decision trees) and unsupervised techniques (e.g., clustering algorithms)
- Effective communication skills to convey analytical results to non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Analyze, capture, and manipulate both structured and unstructured data to develop analytical solutions
- Choose the suitable modeling technique based on data limitations and business requirements
- Build and implement models adhering to the Model Development Control (MDC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) frameworks
- Create technical documentation for knowledge retention and risk management purposes
- Collaborate with peers for mentorship and guidance
- Transform business inquiries into specific analytical questions and present findings to business partners
- Partner with Data Engineering, IT, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of analytical solutions with business goals
- Seek opportunities to expand knowledge of new methodologies and technologies
- Identify, measure, monitor, and manage risks associated with business activities in line with compliance policies
