Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, or a related quantitative discipline; OR 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, OR an advanced degree (Masters, PhD) in a relevant quantitative field.
- Proficiency in training and validating statistical and machine learning models.
- Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for statistical analysis and AI/ML model development.
- Ability to write clear, well-documented code.
- Experience in querying and processing data from various databases using SQL or similar query languages.
- Familiarity with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats.
- Knowledge of classical supervised modeling techniques (e.g., regression, decision trees).
- Understanding of unsupervised modeling techniques (e.g., clustering algorithms).
- Strong communication skills to convey analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously enhance internal fraud detection models to mitigate losses and enhance member experience.
- Collaborate with various teams to identify model needs and support ongoing innovation in modeling methods.
- Manipulate structured and unstructured data to derive analytical solutions for the organization.
- Select appropriate modeling techniques based on data and business requirements.
- Develop and implement models within the designated control frameworks for risk management.
- Prepare technical documentation for different audiences, ensuring knowledge retention and compliance.
- Translate business inquiries into analytical questions, conduct necessary analyses, and present findings.
- Work closely with Data Engineering, IT, and other internal partners to align analytical solutions with customer expectations.
- Pursue ongoing learning opportunities to adopt new methodologies and technologies.
- Proactively identify and manage risks associated with business activities according to established policies.
