Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, engineering, or a related quantitative field; OR 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, OR an advanced degree in a quantitative subject.
- Proficient in training and validating statistical and machine learning models.
- Experience with at least one programming language for statistical analysis and AI/ML models (e.g., Python, R).
- Capable of writing clear, well-commented code.
- Familiar with querying and preprocessing data from various databases (SQL, HQL, NoSQL).
- Experience handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data types.
- Knowledge of descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics.
- Familiarity with classical supervised modeling techniques (e.g., regression, decision trees).
- Understanding of unsupervised modeling concepts (e.g., k-means clustering).
- Strong communication skills to present analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Capture, interpret, and manipulate both structured and unstructured data to provide analytical solutions.
- Choose suitable modeling techniques based on data limitations and business requirements.
- Develop and implement models following the Model Development Control and Model Risk Management frameworks.
- Create technical documents for knowledge retention and risk assessment.
- Consult with peers for mentorship and guidance as required.
- Translate business inquiries into specific analytical questions, complete analyses, and present findings to non-technical colleagues.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, and other departments to deploy analytics aligned with business goals and best practices.
- Pursue opportunities for learning new techniques and technologies.
- Ensure that risks related to business activities are accurately identified and managed according to policies.
