Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, engineering, or a related quantitative field; or 4 years of equivalent experience in statistics or analytics may substitute for a degree. - At least 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, or an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, PhD) in a quantitative discipline. - Proficient in training and validating sophisticated analytics models, including statistical and machine learning models. - Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, R) suitable for statistical analysis and AI/ML model development. - Capability to write clear, detailed, and well-commented code for transparency. - Familiarity with querying and preprocessing data from various databases using SQL, HQL, NoSQL, etc. - Experience handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats, such as CSV, JSON/XML, and text files. - Knowledge in performing ad-hoc analytics using descriptive, diagnostic, and inferential statistics. - Understanding of classical supervised modeling techniques like regression, decision trees, and support vector machines. - Familiarity with unsupervised modeling methods, including clustering algorithms. - Strong communication skills to convey analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Develop and regularly update internal fraud models for transactions and payments, employing advanced statistics and AI/ML techniques. - Collaborate with strategies and model management teams to identify and fulfill modeling requirements. - Foster continuous innovation in modeling initiatives within the fraud space. - Work with the analytics community to promote best practices and methodologies. - Analyze structured and unstructured data to provide business solutions. - Choose appropriate modeling techniques based on data availability and business objectives. - Create and implement models in alignment with Model Development Control (MDC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) frameworks. - Prepare technical documentation for knowledge retention and risk management purposes. - Mentor peers and engage in knowledge sharing as necessary. - Translate business requirements into specific analytical questions, execute analysis/modeling, and present findings to business partners. - Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT teams to align analytical solutions with customer expectations and compliance standards. - Seek opportunities to learn and apply new analytic techniques and methodologies. - Ensure risks related to business activities are effectively identified, measured, and managed in line with compliance policies.
