Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, science and engineering, or other similar quantitative field;
- 4 years of experience in statistics, mathematics, quantitative analytics, or related field may substitute for degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis OR an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, PhD) in a relevant field.
- Experience in training and validating statistical and machine learning models.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R) for statistical analyses or AI/ML model development.
- Capability to write clear and well-documented code for transparency.
- Experience in querying and preprocessing data from structured/unstructured databases via languages like SQL, HQL, NoSQL, etc.
- Familiarity with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats (e.g., delimited numeric data, JSON/XML, text documents, images).
- Knowledge of ad-hoc analytics using various statistical methods.
- Understanding of supervised modeling concepts (e.g., regression, decision trees) and unsupervised modeling techniques (e.g., clustering algorithms).
- Strong communication skills to convey analytical results to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Capture, interpret, and manipulate both structured and unstructured data for business analytical solutions.
- Choose the most suitable modeling technique with consideration to data limitations and business objectives.
- Develop and implement models within the Model Development Control (MDC) and Model Risk Management (MRM) frameworks.
- Document technical processes for knowledge retention and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with peers for mentorship when necessary.
- Transform business requests into actionable analytical queries, complete analyses, and present findings to non-technical team members.
- Work alongside Data Engineering, IT, and business partners to align analytical solutions with client vision and ensure modeling best practices.
- Continually seek opportunities to learn new techniques, tools, and methodologies.
- Identify, measure, monitor, and manage risks associated with business activities in accordance with compliance regulations.
