Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor's degree; or 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. - 6 years of related experience in Security Engineering and/or Information Technology, focusing on security, including leading enterprise technology projects or initiatives. - 4 years of experience delivering technology solutions throughout all phases of a solution development lifecycle. - Proven ability to guide security strategies, solutions, and/or initiatives successfully to completion. - Experience with modern programming/scripting languages and frameworks. - Knowledge of security engineering activities using contemporary DevSecOps practices. - Demonstrated success with agile delivery methods and a strong desire to be adaptable while providing value early and consistently. - Proven capability in troubleshooting complex production issues related to applications and systems. - Experience with security best practices in infrastructure/policy as code, security architecture design patterns, security vendor integrations, and CI/CD pipelines with embedded application security controls. - Familiarity with event-driven security architecture, methods, and controls. - Experience advising on security architecture, methods, and controls to fulfill security, compliance, and audit requirements. - Knowledge of cloud and emerging technologies such as Public Cloud, Containerization, Security Data Lakes, ML/LLMs, GenAI, etc.

Responsibilities

- Ensure that security requirements are sufficiently addressed during all aspects of the solution/application enablement and sustainment lifecycle. - Design, develop, code, integrate, and test intricate cross-functional technical solutions focusing on security, collaborating with engineers or architects beyond the team/department. - Lead the team in conducting code/design reviews and implementing engineering efficiencies to ensure smooth operations and precise planning. - Assist in troubleshooting complex production issues and managing end-to-end solutions that cover multiple applications and systems. - Collaborate with architecture to set directions for cross-functional or highly complex key technologies within a specific security domain. - Contribute to community impact by actively engaging in internal and external training opportunities, conferences, blog postings, and participation in professional organizations, advisory boards, and consortiums. - Apply Site Reliability Engineering practices in the domain. - Ensure risks within domain activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies and procedures. - Act as a subject matter expert, supporting cross-functional efforts across the Enterprise. - Monitor and troubleshoot highly complex systems, tools, and vendor integrations. - Conduct ongoing research, analysis, and troubleshooting to identify, resolve, and report on complex security issues. - Work collaboratively with Security Analysts, IT, and Business Partners to fine-tune, harden, and improve security solutions and technologies in response to emerging trends and threats. - Mentor and guide junior engineers, nurturing a culture of ongoing learning and professional development, ensuring the team remains updated with the latest security trends and technologies.

You will play a crucial role in our Cyber Threat Operation Center (CTOC) mission, which includes the development and integration of all threat-centric analytic capabilities to support our Cyber Threat Intelligence analytic missions. This position is based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or Charlotte, NC.
