Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science, or a related field
- 6 years of experience in data & analytics OR a minimum of 4 years of data & analytics experience plus up to 2 years of progressive functional business experience in the respective industry (i.e., P&C, Banking, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
- Alternatively, an advanced degree in a quantitative analytics field with 4 years of relevant data/analytics or functional business experience
- Proficiency in advanced mathematical and statistical techniques for decision-making
- Expertise in data analysis tools, data visualization, SQL, SAS, BI tools or similar software
- Familiarity with emerging data sets and techniques for data integration and transformation
Responsibilities
- Engage in complex discussions with cross-functional teams to identify and collaborate on business objectives and solution strategies
- Utilize advanced analytical methods to address medium to large-scale business problems with significant impact on strategy
- Develop actionable recommendations based on thorough analysis, converting insights into communication materials for various management levels
- Apply data visualization techniques to simplify complex analyses for non-technical audiences
- Gather and analyze relevant data sources to address business problems effectively
- Combine disparate data sources while ensuring data quality through proper hygiene practices
- Maintain detailed documentation of assumptions, methodologies, validations, and testing for compliance
- Stay updated on emerging technologies that enhance scientific methodologies and analytical approaches
- Present analyses and findings effectively to influence management decisions and business strategies
- Offer expertise in implementing recommendations and stay informed on current trends in data and analytics
- Seek continuous learning opportunities in data and analytics through various platforms or formal education
