Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of relevant experience may replace the degree requirement
- 4 years of actuarial or analytical experience and attainment of Fellow within the Society of Actuaries; OR 8 years of relevant actuarial experience and attainment of Associate within the Society of Actuaries
- Strong understanding of Asset-Liability Management (ALM), including liquidity management, asset allocation, cashflow matching, and duration targeting
- Experience with asset adequacy testing to ensure the sufficiency of assets for future obligations
- Knowledge in product pricing, particularly related to annuity products
- Familiarity with Risk-Based Capital (RBC) frameworks and methodologies
- Proficiency in actuarial software platforms, with a strong preference for AXIS
- Experience presenting complex actuarial analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Execute complex tasks using actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and risk management
- Review laws and regulations to ensure compliance and suggest improvements
- Operate models, generate reports, and communicate analytical findings to Actuarial Leadership
- Propose adjustments and improvements to models as needed
- Share expertise with team members and assist in overcoming challenges
- Lead or take part in moderately complex projects across various actuarial domains with minimal supervision
- Create reports that clearly convey findings and proposals for stakeholders
- Identify and recommend solutions to business challenges, often presenting options to leadership
- Maintain pricing levels and structures to ensure competitiveness and profitability
- Monitor critical assumptions and suggest timely corrections for adverse trends
- Evaluate the effects of assumptions by determining sources of gains and losses, premiums, interest margins, reserves, and cash values for product viability
- Advise management on issues affecting team members, serving as a main resource
- Ensure risks associated with business functions are identified, assessed, monitored, and managed in line with compliance policies
