Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, or another related quantitative field; or 4 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree. - Minimum of 2 years experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, or an advanced degree in a quantitative subject area. - Proven experience in training and validating statistical, physical, and machine learning models. - Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for executing statistical analyses and building AI/ML models. - Ability to write clear, transparent code with adequate documentation. - Experience in querying and preprocessing data from structured/unstructured databases using SQL, HQL, or NoSQL. - Familiarity with handling diverse data files, including delimited, JSON/XML, and other document types. - Knowledge of both supervised and unsupervised modeling techniques for predictive analytics. - Strong communication skills for conveying analytical results to non-technical stakeholders. - Military experience or a graduate degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Develop and update internal fraud detection models for transactions and payments using a variety of statistical and advanced AI/ML techniques. - Collaborate with the Strategies and Model Management teams to assess modeling requirements. - Drive continuous innovation in modeling practices. - Capture, interpret, and manipulate structured and unstructured data to create analytical solutions. - Select appropriate modeling techniques based on data limitations and business requirements. - Develop and implement models within the Model Development Control and Model Risk Management frameworks. - Compose technical documentation for knowledge retention and compliance reviews. - Translate business inquiries into specific analytical questions and communicate findings to colleagues. - Work closely with Data Engineering and other internal partners to deploy analytical solutions aligned with business objectives. - Stay updated on emerging techniques and methodologies.
