Requirements
Must:
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Visio, and other Microsoft applications
- Capable of analysis, problem-solving, organizational skills, team building, and conflict resolution
- Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Available to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience with pallet jack and forklift operations
- Familiarity with IT equipment, including servers, network switches, storage systems, and cabinets
- Solid understanding of data center environments and infrastructure, including network and telecommunications protocols, and disaster recovery practices
Responsibilities
- Escort vendors and customers, providing technical oversight to ensure compliance with approved Change or Incident records
- Review and approve data center access requests in line with Client Technology processes
- Interface with service providers, vendors, and telecom providers, ensuring proper vetting of visitors
- Create and maintain documentation related to site-specific activities, processes, and procedures
- Provide Ad Hoc reporting as necessary and maintain a daily log of interactions and completed work
- Support planning activities for installation and removal of IT equipment in the data center
- Participate in new installations, removals, cabling infrastructure planning, and site inspections
- Assist in the Clients Service Management processes and perform pre- and post-validation for planned change work
- Conduct inventory management, including physical inspections and data entry into client databases
- Manage shipping and receiving functions, tracking packages and ensuring proper authorization for removals
- Perform physical media activities, including tracking and cataloging media and media-related equipment
- Support hands-on installation and removal of IT equipment, basic troubleshooting, and cabling services as needed
