Requirements
Must:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in managing database files for reporting purposes
- Comprehensive understanding of the credentialing provider lifecycle
- Experience with MS Excel
- Associate degree or two years of relevant work experience
- Minimum of 2 years in the healthcare or insurance sector
Responsibilities
- Execute initial and re-credentialing of providers, accurately documenting credentialing information per established protocols
- Maintain the credentialing database and HCS data files, ensuring accurate network indicators and effective dates
- Communicate effectively with providers and internal teams regarding urgent matters
- Register participating providers and help maintain accurate directory information, responding to inquiries from providers about networks and credentialing
- Prepare required documentation and reports for management regarding provider credentials
- Gather essential information on providers for committee presentation regarding initial and re-credentialing
- Attend credentialing committee meetings as scheduled
- Contribute to the research, development, and implementation of new projects or programs
- Conduct quality control checks and audits of delegated entities, traveling as needed to perform audits and report findings
