Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 to 3 years of comprehensive IT experience in relevant areas.
- Proficient in installing and maintaining Data Center hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, storage, and servers (both blade and rack mount).
- Experience with circuit support and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Mainframe environments and connectivity is advantageous.
- Skilled in configuring management interfaces (iDRAC, iLO, CIMC) and addressing connectivity issues.
- Expertise in configuring network ports and diagnosing connectivity problems.
- Knowledge of scripting is a plus.
- Familiar with Data Center Infrastructure Management tools.
- Understanding of Project Management methodologies and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-starter with excellent listening abilities and teamwork skills.
- Capable of employing network diagnostics effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement Data Center projects.
- Create detailed specifications for upgrading existing Client Data Center equipment and redesigning solutions to meet new requirements, technologies, and growth.
- Diagnose network communications and operational issues affecting Data Center equipment and performance on a global scale.
- Engage in Data Center-related initiatives and activities.
- Research and formulate innovative solutions pertaining to unified Data Center systems.
- Support assigned regional projects, taking charge of planning, time and cost management, resource allocation, and implementation tasks.

We are the Data Center Engineering Team at US Tech Solutions, seeking a Platform Engineer II to contribute to the design, architecture, deployment, security, and support of our extensive multi-site, multi-vendor Data Center environments. We value individuals who are passionate about customer service, highly motivated, and detail-oriented. Our roles require support in a 7 by 24 Global Data Center setting, potentially involving on-call duties and coordinated after-hour work as necessary.
