Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma and over 1 year of experience in IT support, or completion of undergraduate courses in IT-related fields
- A+, Network+, or CCNA certifications are advantageous
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking and telephony principles
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Prior experience in a network support capacity is advantageous
- Proficiency in tools like Visio for creating diagrams
- Understanding of essential networking concepts including NAT, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, spanning tree, VPN, and wireless technologies
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the helpdesk for escalated network and telephony issues
- Address user inquiries and requests through phone, email, or occasionally in person
- Coordinate network assignments, priorities, schedules, completions, and notify users accordingly
- Perform selected preventative maintenance tasks for the network
- Act as the first contact point from the IT department for the helpdesk
- Manage primarily incident-based workloads while being capable of handling low to medium-level project work
- Respond to network outages and conduct basic troubleshooting for network and telephony issues
