Must:

- High school diploma or equivalent for enlisted roles; bachelors degree or professional qualifications for officers
- Must meet age limits set by Navy policy, which vary by program
- Satisfy medical, vision, and dental standards, including physical fitness requirements
- Meet character and conduct standards, including background checks
- Achieve necessary test scores like the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or officer qualification tests
- Eligibility for a security clearance as required for certain roles
- Interest and aptitude in computers, networks, cyber operations, and analytical tasks
Responsibilities
- Design, operate, secure, and restore networks, servers, and communication systems for naval operations
- Conduct cyber operations, both offensive and defensive, as a Cryptologic Technician Networks specialist
- Investigate and monitor adversary activities to safeguard Navy networks and systems
- Collect and analyze information regarding adversaries, environments, and weather for intelligence production
- Create intelligence products and deliver briefings for decision-makers
- Provide help desk support, network administration, and incident response as needed
