Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, or comparable roles
- Previous experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or consulting environment
- Proven ability to design and implement complete solutions, not just providing support
- Strong experience architecting Azure infrastructure environments
- Hands-on familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Experience with Nerdio or similar AVD management platforms
- Advanced knowledge of Fortinet firewalls including design, implementation, and troubleshooting
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts (routing, VPNs, multi-site environments, troubleshooting)
- Advanced experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Experience with disaster recovery solutions design and implementation
- Background in cybersecurity response including log analysis, incident management, and recovery actions
- Strong architectural thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment
- Mentorship mindset with a commitment to enhance team skills
- Relevant certifications (Azure, Fortinet, VMware, etc.) are strongly preferred
- Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune experience is advantageous
- Experience with EDR/SIEM platforms (Datto EDR, Rocket Cyber, etc.) is a plus
- PowerShell or automation proficiency is beneficial
- Physical ability to lift up to 40lbs and sit, stand, drive, and operate a laptop for extended periods
- Capability to access network/server environments and install necessary equipment as required.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect comprehensive infrastructure solutions across Azure, on-premise, and hybrid environments
- Convert business requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient technical designs
- Facilitate whiteboarding sessions with clients and internal teams
- Architect and build Azure environments, including virtual networks, connectivity, and identity integration
- Design resources with a focus on cost optimization
- Create, deploy, and enhance Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, utilizing Nerdio for deployment, automation, and cost control
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network environments focusing on Fortinet firewalls, including VPNs, SD-WAN, and security policies
- Conduct deep network troubleshooting across multi-site environments, ensuring proper segmentation, security, and performance optimization
- Design and implement advanced virtualization environments using VMware and Hyper-V
- Lead migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure modernization projects
- Architect and implement disaster recovery solutions across varied environments
- Design and validate failover and recovery strategies, ensuring business alignment with recovery objectives (RTO/RPO)
- Establish a secure infrastructure adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Conduct security assessments and identify gaps within client environments, translating compliance requirements into actionable measures
- Act as a senior escalation point for cybersecurity incidents, performing threat investigation and recovery actions
- Implement, tune, and integrate security tools into a cohesive security architecture
- Participate in incident response activities, facilitating log gathering and remediation efforts following incidents
- Lead advanced troubleshooting across networking, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and security systems
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client leadership, leading project delivery and conveying technical strategies effectively
- Mentor engineers to boost team capabilities and ensure design consistency and high-quality implementation.

Our Professional Services team is at the forefront of intricate infrastructure, cloud, and security projects across a varied clientele, and we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Architect to elevate our technical execution. This primarily onsite position also requires occasional local travel to client locations, and we offer mileage reimbursement for any business-related travel.
