Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience in web administration, particularly with IIS and/or Apache environments
- Proven track record of Windows Server system administration
- Ability to troubleshoot web application or server-related issues in live settings
- Familiarity with TLS/SSL protocols and managing digital certificates, including installation and renewal
- Exposure to PKI concepts (formal PKI experience is advantageous but not mandatory)
- Experience in scripting or automation, particularly with PowerShell
- Background in IT support or escalation, focusing on infrastructure or operating systems
- Aptitude for collaborating with both technical and non-technical team members
- Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to manage issues from start to finish
Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and troubleshoot web server environments, primarily focusing on IIS, while having some familiarity with Apache/Linux
- Take ownership of resolving production web application incidents, particularly related to server configurations and certificate outages
- Conduct hands-on administration of Windows systems, including:
- Server installations, configurations, and ongoing maintenance
- OS patching and troubleshooting
- Providing support for core infrastructure services (e.g., Active Directory as needed)
- Manage the installation, renewal, and troubleshooting of digital certificates for web servers, APIs, and internal systems
- Serve as a technical escalation point for certificate owners and application teams dealing with web or TLS-related challenges
- Engage in automation projects that minimize manual work related to certificate management (e.g., PowerShell scripting, using APIs)
- Document troubleshooting processes, operational procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate effectively with infrastructure, application, and business teams to ensure secure and dependable web services
