Requirements
Must:
- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in electrical engineering, maintenance, environmental health and safety, energy controls/instrumentation, civil engineering, and HVAC within a facility or plant
- Ability to understand and interpret architectural, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical schematics
- Proven experience in IT environments, hardware infrastructure, and computer facilities management
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the facility engineering environment at one of our main data centers
- Manage electrical and mechanical distribution, power generation, cooling systems, UPS, automated building controls, and fire/life/safety protocols
- Execute preventative maintenance programs for critical and non-critical plant operations with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with management to formulate, propose, and enforce departmental policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance with corporate regulations
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with management, vendors, and colleagues
- Provide on-call and after-hours support as directed and be willing to work required overtime
- Adhere to all OSHA, safety, and environmental requirements, including training and certification as necessary
