Senior Cloud Data Engineer - Multi-Cloud Platforms

- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering - Over 8 years of experience in data engineering on cloud platforms - Proven hands-on expertise in building data solutions in Azure and/or AWS - Strong background in delivering production-grade data products and pipelines - Solid grasp of data governance, quality, and security in regulated sectors - Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset across teams - Experience in data architecture and design in large organizations - Proficient in Azure Data Platform services, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics - Familiar with AWS data services such as Glue and S3 - Advanced knowledge of Databricks, including Spark and Delta Lake - Deep understanding of Snowflake for data modeling and ingestion patterns - Expertise in Apache Spark for substantial data processing tasks - Experience in constructing batch and near-real-time data pipelines - Strong SQL proficiency with experience in dimensional and analytical modeling - Knowledge of API-based integrations, including REST - Familiarity with messaging platforms like Kafka and AWS SQS - Knowledgeable in IAM, OAuth 2.0, and secure data access patterns - Experience facilitating self-service analytics using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau - Preferred: Hands-on support for AI initiatives - Preferred: Background in financial services or regulated industries - Preferred: Professional certifications in Azure or AWS - Preferred: Advanced degree in a relevant field
