Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 7 years in an information technology (IT) environment
- At least 7 years in designing, developing, and supporting technology infrastructure
- Practical experience in administering NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Couchbase, and RDBMS like PostgreSQL, DB2, Sybase
- Familiarity with database installation, security, risk management, auditing, monitoring, access control, backup/restore practices, and vulnerability management using automation tools like Ansible
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, including networking, IAM, IaaS, and PaaS
- Proficient in DevOps practices and tools such as Git and VSCode
- Extensive experience deploying databases using Terraform
- In-depth knowledge of Azure (PaaS - RDBMS and NoSQL) and AWS Database Services (RDBMS - RDS and NoSQL) as well as other native services
- Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python
- Experience working with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Familiarity with deploying containerized databases in Kubernetes is a plus
- Cloud certification is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Supervise and cultivate multi-platform enterprise engineering solutions to enhance existing and new platform offerings for business and infrastructure services
- Lead and direct cross-functional teams toward system improvement focused on performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity
- Assess product and service solutions for effectiveness and efficiency
