Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Over 4 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in electrical, HVAC, piping/plumbing, and central utility plant operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and technical manuals
- Capable of preparing routine reports and correspondence
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Experience with systems like emergency generators and switchgears
- Previous hands-on experience in a data center or critical facility is preferred
- Experience with Corrigo, MCIM/Salesforce, Zendesk, or Service Now is advantageous
- Physically able to lift at least 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 ft
- Must be available to work varied schedules, including holidays
- Must be able to respond to emergencies promptly
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot facility equipment across all systems
- Ensure continuous operation and preventive maintenance of data center systems
- Monitor and adjust mechanical systems, including HVAC and electrical backup systems, to guarantee 100% uptime
- Record operational readings and make necessary adjustments to equipment
- Respond promptly to alarms and alerts via building management systems
- Analyze system operations and correct any identified issues
- Adhere to safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and maintain a safe workspace
- Familiarize oneself with the data center to effectively manage incidents that may jeopardize critical systems
- Manage work orders using CMMS, and handle vendor and customer-facing tickets
- Comply with emergency escalation procedures and perform additional tasks as needed
