Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Six years of experience if holding a general Bachelors degree
- Four years of experience with a Bachelors degree in a STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Analytics)
- Four years of experience if possessing a Masters degree
- Two years of experience with a PhD
- Twelve years of experience with an Associates degree
- Fourteen years of experience with a High School diploma
- Proficiency in SQL
- Advanced skills in data visualization software and UI design
- Capability to leverage existing reusable data sources before creating new ones
- Experience optimizing reusable data sources for analytics and visualization
- Intermediate proficiency in data architecture and R/Python (or other statistical software)
- Strong stakeholder requirements gathering and presentation skills
- Advanced ability in analytics or multidisciplinary team facilitation or project management
- Alignment with UNC Health System values
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert analyses and insights that significantly influence organizational decision-making
- Lead the creation of effective reports and data visualizations in collaboration with stakeholders and analytics teams
- Act as a liaison among clinical/business units and central analytics
- Ensure alignment between departmental projects and organizational objectives
- Develop clear and insightful communications for internal stakeholders through various formats, including PowerPoint and meetings
- Gather and synthesize stakeholder requirements to produce impactful deliverables
- Oversee the development of key performance indicators, management dashboards, and balanced scorecards
- Ensure adherence to data governance principles and standards
- Provide expertise in healthcare analytics for financial, clinical, and operational evaluations
- Mentor and train junior analysts in analytical techniques and standard of work
- Fulfill HR responsibilities such as time tracking and performance reviews for direct reports
- Manage projects by defining scopes, developing plans, and prioritizing tasks for the team
