Requirements

Must:
- High School diploma or GED. - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. - Preferred qualifications include: - At least 1 year of successful management experience with Caché/Iris. - Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripts. - Bachelor's degree. - EPIC (Cache/IRIS) certification. - Experience collaborating with various project teams (business, IT applications, and infrastructure). - A strong passion and motivation to complete tasks effectively. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in identifying and prioritizing issues, alongside troubleshooting complex problems. - A keen desire to acquire new skills and engage with innovative technologies. - Commitment to quality, with the ability to review and rectify deficiencies in one’s work and assist others in troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Caché/Iris. - Install, configure, and maintain database environments. - Set up and configure Epic monitoring tools (such as Redalert and System Pulse), manage alerts and logs, and oversee administrative tools. - Monitor service health and manage service requests and change requests. - Proactively identify issues within the environment and develop processes to avert problems. - Conduct routine upgrades and updates. - Test, implement, and maintain business continuity procedures, including disaster recovery and backup restoration. - Configure and execute environment refreshes. - Assess performance metrics and troubleshoot performance-related concerns. - Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work autonomously. - Adapt to a fast-paced environment and take appropriate actions as necessary.

This is a full-time, exempt/salaried role within our Database Administration team at UCHealth, primarily focused on supporting the Caché/Iris database. We are seeking an experienced administrator to manage various EPIC database environments for our growing organization, which serves 25,000 users. The ideal candidate will work closely with various business leaders and customers. We will consider candidates for the role of either Database Administrator (with 3 years of relevant experience) or Database Administrator Senior (with 5 years of relevant experience).
