Network Administrator - Cisco & Juniper Expert

- Design, implement, and sustain scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructures for clients, encompassing LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks - Work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to evaluate network requirements, devise solutions, and enact best practices for network design - Establish and uphold strong network security protocols, featuring firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls, to safeguard against cyber threats - Conduct routine security evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to uncover and address security vulnerabilities - Supervise network performance, availability, and reliability utilizing leading-edge tools and technologies - Proactively diagnose and fix network issues, fine-tune network configurations, and implement performance enhancements to ensure optimal uptime - Provide technical leadership and support to help desk team members, assist with escalated issues, and facilitate skill development - Mentor junior network administrators and Tier 2 techs, sharing knowledge and best practices to promote a culture of continuous growth - Collaborate with management to create training programs and resources aimed at enhancing team technical capabilities - Deliver advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex network issues to clients and internal teams - Serve as a subject matter expert on network technologies, protocols, and standards, offering guidance to junior staff - Maintain precise documentation of network setups, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) - Generate and present periodic reports on network performance, security incidents, and service delivery metrics to clients and management
