Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
- 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 1.7/Java 1.8)
- Thorough knowledge of the Spring Framework
- Familiarity with Jenkins and Gradle
- Proficient in using GitHub
- Experience with RESTful services, Rabbit MQ, JSON, Unix Scripting, and Hadoop is advantageous
- Core development experience in large scale enterprise Java applications
- Solid experience in SQL (DB2 and SQL databases)
- Excellent understanding of business needs driving projects
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications to meet business needs
- Adhere to approved life cycle methodologies, create design documentation, and execute program coding and testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through debugging and investigation
- Utilize experience and judgment to set and achieve project goals
- Execute a variety of programming tasks
- Create and design high-quality software for large distributed systems using Java/Spring Batch/Hadoop
- Conduct unit and system testing of application code along with implementation activities
- Analyze business requirements and develop technical design documents in alignment with company architecture standards
- Ensure expected performance levels of applications are consistently met
- Design, code, test, debug, document, maintain, and modify complex computer programs
- Oversee and/or execute design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions
- Generate basic and detailed program specifications
