Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a network security role with responsibilities that include monitoring and managing network security systems.
- Familiarity with at least one SIEM tool, such as Splunk or Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Proficiency with network security and monitoring tools.
- Experience with antivirus, anti-malware, or endpoint security products.
- Understanding of network security best practices, attack vectors, and remediation strategies.
- Good grasp of DNS and its relevance to troubleshooting.
- Experience with Cisco products is not mandatory, but familiarity with a SIEM in a network security context is essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Eagerness and capability to learn new technologies and solutions.
- Keeps updated on the latest security strategies, trends, and emerging threats.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor the organizations network security management systems.
- Investigate security-related alarms and alerts, responding to tickets and service requests.
- Utilize a variety of tools to detect and identify internal and external threats, vulnerabilities, or malware.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Network Security Engineer, Network Security Engineer, and colleagues on assigned tasks and projects as needed.
